Welcome Back Lovelies

In honor of my 20th birthday, I wanted to share a blog post featuring all of the wisdom I have learned in my 20 years of life. I am so grateful to God for blessing me to see another year. I am excited to enter my 20s and see what this new chapter holds for me. With that being said, I am excited to enter this journey with LWL as well. I started this blog almost four years ago and I truly feel like LWL has grown up with me as well. I want to thank everyone who has ever supported me and LWL.

Without further ado here are 20 things I have learned in 20 years!

“We delight in the beauty of the butterfly, but rarely admit the changes it has gone through to achieve that beauty.”

Maya Angelou

.) Put God First Above All Else- This is one of the most important lessons that I have learned

.) Don't Feel Guilty About Setting Boundaries & Enforcing Them- Your boundaries are so important never bend them.

.) Call Your Family Members More- They love to hear from you and one day you will wish you had called more

.) Never Be Afraid To Put Yourself First.

.) Give Yourself Grace- You are young and you will make mistakes. Do not be so hard on yourself.

.) Actually Listen To Your Parent's Advice- They love you and will never steer you in the wrong direction

.) When Someone Shows You Who They Are, Believe Them- Never let someone show you twice who they are.

.) Don't Be In Such A Hurry To Grow Up- You have your whole life to be grown, enjoy being young and turnt.

.) Let Go Of Those Friendships That Are No Longer Serving You, It Is Okay.

.) It Is Okay To Be Alone, In Fact It Is Necessary.

.) Pour Into Those That Pour Into You.

.) Celebrate All Your Wins, Even The Small Ones.

.) Don't Settle For Anything, Ever- Settling is an insult to yourself especially when you know you deserve better.

.) Trust Your Intuition, It Is Never Wrong

.) Love Yourself- This sounds very cliche but self-love is the best love.

.) Admit When You Are Wrong- It might be a hard pill to swallow but you are not always right. You must learn to admit when you are wrong and say sorry.

.) Focus On Your Education- No one can ever take your education away from you.

.) Learn To Accept Things For What They Are - God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

.) Forgive Those Who Have Hurt You-If you hold onto that anger, you will never grow.

.) Always Remember Who You Are-Finally, always remember who you are. This is such an important lesson that I have taken with me in all my years of life and it has never failed me.
