Benefits of Self-Care Days

Having a bad day? School or work got you stressed? Don’t worry, you’ve come to the right place! I’m going to share a few reasons why self-care days are essential and some suggestions for making them the best they can be!

I love this quote by Rupi Kaur. She has a couple of books that touch on self-love and I personally enjoy reading her work!

That brings me to the first benefit of self-care days—-

It improves your mood!

Whenever you are feeling down, your looks reflect it. This is the sad truth, but it can easily be fixed. One way to improve your mood and provide yourself with self-care is to give yourself a pampering session! This can be as simple as doing a face mask or as complex as doing your entire skincare routine, shaving your entire body, washing your hair, and giving yourself a mani and pedi! Doing any of these tasks will provide you with amazing benefits either way!

The second benefit of self-care is—

Improves productivity

I am aware that being productive is a common problem that we all face, myself included. By practicing self-care though, we can stop this stigma. By allowing yourself to complete simple tasks that benefit you; you will slowly become more productive. This is because self-care allows you to decide when and what you want to do and how you want to do it.

Finally, self-care should be personal and true to you. What may work for some may not work for all so it is very important that you keep trying until you find the perfect routine.
