Passion For Fashion: An Interview With Designer And Founder Of Finer Things Bridal, Kyndal Anderson

Passion For Fashion

It has been a while since LWL has written a blog post with an interview feature. I wanted to take a break from interviews to improve my interview skills and how I presented all the information in my blog posts.

I am so happy that I got the chance to interview Kyndal and her business after taking this time away from interviews.

I hope you enjoy this interview and please be sure to check out Finer Things Bridal on social media.

Follow Finer Things Bridal on Instagram @Finerthingsbridal.

To begin, Kyndal Anderson is a fashion major at Louisiana State University. She is originally from Memphis, Tennessee so the culture and fashion of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, compared to Memphis, Tennessee, is different, to say the least.

Kyndal emphasizes how much she enjoys the fashion program at LSU and how great the program is. Kyndal’s interest in fashion began at a young age. She became interested after watching E-news.

She enjoyed seeing the behind-the-scenes on the show and that is what attracted her to fashion. Along with that, multiple fashion influences helped her gain her passion for fashion as well.  For example, Kyndal gets some of her fashion inspiration from Oscar De La Renta. She is fond of his work.

Along with that she also gets inspiration from celebrities as well. Rihanna’s Met Gala look is one in particular that Kyndal remembers being fond of. One of Kyndal‘s favorite Met Gala looks from Rihanna is her 2015 look. She also loves Rihanna’s 2015 Grammy look.

“ I like her street style a lot,” Kyndal explains as she goes into detail about why she likes Rihanna’s style.

As the years went by, Kyndal still remained interested in fashion, but it wasn’t until the 2020 coronavirus pandemic that she really began her career and began creating clothes.

A couple of years later is when she founded her business.

On July 22nd, 2022 is when Finer Things Bridal was officially created. Kyndal took an interest in formal wear fashion but more specifically in bridal wear. Kyndal started her business after a school project that required her to start a business and learn how to run a business as well.

She took it a step further and began posting her brand and work on Instagram. This drove traction to her page and her work. As her brand grows she has a few goals that she would like to accomplish. She would like to practice designing more and gain more exposure as well.

Fashion has impacted Kyndal’s life in numerous ways; it has given her the opportunity to travel abroad due to her fashion career. For example, she was able to travel to Europe recently. The one piece of advice that Kyndal would give to aspiring fashion designers is to start early. It’s essential to get your name out there as soon as possible.

“ Start early on what you want to do, " Kyndal says “Make sure you get your name out there because it’s really hard to get into the industry and be successful due to everyone becoming interested in fashion lately .”

Many thanks to Kyndal and Finer Things Bridal for this interview. I thoroughly enjoyed it and wish her and her business much success in the future.

Thank you so much for reading.
